Solar photocatalysis has the potential to reduce chemical and microbial contaminants in water make it safer for consumption an effective sustainable manner. This been studied proven well under laboratory-scale conditions. In our previous work, developed solar photocatalyst, Bi- TiO2 -P25 tested its efficiency reducing total coliform from natural waters light. Along with promising results (up 99% reduction of 99.9% Escherichia coli 2 hours), uncertainties due environmental factors associated process were also observed. The reaction rate was largely impacted by change sunlight intensity over treatment or different initial concentrations water. Therefore, becomes essential understand how performance would be such varied conditions predict optimum results. paper discusses time could affecting either kinetic constant, concentration bacteria, both, as external other randomly varying during treatment. Mathematically exact are derived future development trends, challenges discussed while providing a prospective outlook deployment at pilot scale.
