In line with Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), the COVID-19 pandemic has exposed vulnerabilities of urban environments, emphasizing critical need for robust strategic planning. Effective strategies are essential mitigating impacts pandemics, enhancing city’s resilience, safeguarding wellbeing city inhabitants. Thus, more measures needed to ensure health safety populations future occurrences. This empirical study explores how environmental planning practices can mitigate risks, especially in post-COVID-19 era Turkey. The objectives include i) investigating factors influencing built environment reduction public risks wake pandemic, ii) exploring adaptable methods improve pandemic. results responses were assessed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis SmartPLS four program. Results indicated positive path significant values <0.005 build community resilience after Other sustainable practices; Public Health City Planning; improvement strategies. relationships suggest that these promoting a pandemic-free future. Findings emphasize importance incorporating variables into design as strategy achieve improved an environment.
