Used COVID-19 masks produce a large amount of garbage that frequently overwhelms waste management facilities, hence they are disposed improperly. It is imperative to develop processing technique harnesses disposable face create biofuel in order address the environmental problems caused by their disposal. In this study, biochar production through co-carbonization mask and biomass (Daniella oliveri leaves) using fixed-bed updraft reactor was investigated as means recycling wastes for sustainable environment. A hybrid with 40.20 wt% yield produced at peak temperature 350 °C, while 32.87 only high 279 °C. According sample analysis, biochar, which has specific surface area 397.8 m2/g, very porous numerous cracks fissures. The Fourier transform infrared analysis showed presence functional groups, mainly hydroxyl carbonyl co-carbonized mask, indicating possibility an adsorbent increase soil fertility.

This study investigated the microstructural and mechanical properties of hybrid composites developed by reinforcement solvated polystyrene with expanded polyethylene powder kaolin. The hybridized were synthesized using hand layup cold mixing methods, cured at room temperature for 3 days. characterization was done Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) scanning electron microscope coupled energy dispersive (SEM-EDS), while characteristics evaluated Rockwell Hardness ASTM D785 standard. It observed that an increase in kaolin content, expense powder, increases hardness strength composites, hardest composite (96.3 HRB) being obtained a 25% mixer. FTIR results revealed presence various functional groups, SEM analysis showed smoothness composite's surfaces content. EDS several elements, mostly from filler, suggesting reason its high density impacted on kaolin/polyethylene filler composites. importance is conversion more than one solid waste into new useful products.

Abstract In most wastewater systems, the existence of more than one dye is a reality. Herein, mesoporous iron oxide/polypyrrole/carbon black (Fe 3 O 4 /PPy/C) nanocomposite with high saturation magnetization (45.2 emu/g) has been prepared by encapsulating very fine Fe nanoparticles (4–7 nm) in PPy/C for first time. The superior adsorption performance developed /PPy/C removal basic (methylene blue, MB) and acidic (Congo red, CR) studied single binary systems. XRD, FESEM, EDX, HRTEM, FT-IR, VSM, BET, zeta potential analyses were used adsorbent characterization. FT-IR findings confirmed successful inclusion into polymer matrix. XDR HRTEM results revealed significant reduction size grown addition PPy/C, which acts as particle growth inhibitor, thus greater surface area reached 341.01 m 2 /g relative to 210.66 277.59 pure respectively. Langmuir isotherm matched experimental data quite well, R capacity 0.994 500 mg/g CR 0.995 90.9 MB, effectiveness remove both MB from solution 96.9% 95.9% MB. kinetic investigations, sorption dyes obeyed pseudo-second order model, where equals 0.999 0.998 Desorption tests easy separation good efficiency after four cycles. Finally, mechanism was discussed detail based on FTIR analysis. Therefore, bi-functional, recyclable, efficient environmental applications.
