In this historical context, the Mediterranean Sea faces an increasing threat from emerging pollutants such as pharmaceuticals, personal care products, heavy metals, pesticides and microplastics, which pose a serious risk to environment human health. regard, aquatic invertebrates fish are particularly vulnerable toxic effects of these pollutants, several species have been identified bio-indicators for their detection. Among these, bivalve molluscs elasmobranchs now widely used accurately assess contaminants. The study focuses on catshark Scyliorhinus canicular mussel Mytilus galloprovincialis. first one is useful indicator localised contamination levels due its exposure that accumulate seabed. Moreover, it has high trophic position plays important role in ecosystem. mollusc galloprovincialis, other hand, being filter-feeding organism, can acquire bioaccumulate foreign particles present environment. Additionally, because also commercial interest, direct impact conclusion, presence issue requires immediate attention. Bivalve two examples must be precisely determine marine ecosystem

The presence of pharmaceuticals in the aquatic environment presents a challenge to modern science. most significant impact this can induce is emergence antibiotic resistance, which lead global health emergency. It important note that not limited resistance. Pharmaceuticals also affect behaviour and reproductive systems organisms, with cascading effects on entire ecosystems. Numerous studies have reported due uncontrolled disposal polluted domestic, agricultural, industrial wastewater water bodies. This work discusses potential one hand are highly for mankind, yet their non-judicious usage equally intriguing problematic conditions systems. Pathways through pharmaceutics make way into bodies discussed. In this study, the adsorption efficiency of low-cost raw and modified clay was investigated. The characterized through various technics including X-ray diffraction, XRF spectroscopy, FT-IR Electron microscopy SEM to analyze evolution structure morphology. Paracetamol chosen as an adsorbate evaluate removal performance from aqueous medium. Factors influencing uptake paracetamol, such pH, equilibrium time, adsorbent dosage, initial concentration were examined. results obtained showed that successfully by HDTMA, which increased capacity thanks new hydrophobic interaction. paracetamol on reached at a contact time 120 min. Isothermal kinetic models used in study followed Langmuir-isotherm pseudo-second-order models. maximum experimental predicted Langmuir model is about 112.63 mg/g, much higher than for unmodified sample (62.11 mg/g). These show natural Moroccan can be eco-friendly nanomaterials remove emerging pharmaceutical contaminants water.
