Chaetoglobosin A (CheA), a typical structure of the cytochalasin family, exhibits outstanding efficacy against variety tumor cells and plant pathogens. However, its low yield high production cost are major obstacles limiting wide application. In order to increase CheA yield, an engineered strain was established by overexpressing CgMfs, gene encoding MFS family's efflux pump, on chassis lacking CgXpp1, which have been shown act as negative regulator biosynthesis. As expected, significantly boosted from 63.19 265.93 mg/L after incubation in PDA medium for 10 d, whereas remarkably enhanced 2.93-fold compared with wild type, following d cultivation utilizing potato starch industrial waste. The addition metal ions had positive effect production, Cu2+ being most effective improving 176.92 mg/L. optimal fermentation conditions were determined response surface optimization, under conditions, could stably produce 197.58 This study provided reducing costs while increasing well new strategies insights target compound.

The production of municipal sludge is steadily increasing in line with the sewage. A wealth organic contaminants, including nutrients and energy, are present sludge. Anaerobic fermentation can be used to extract useful resources from sludge, producing hydrogen, methane, short-chain fatty acids, and, via further chain elongation, medium-chain acids. By comparing economic use values these retrieved resources, it concluded that a high-value resource transformation achieved acids using anaerobic fermentation, which hotspot for future research. In this study, selection pretreatment method, method influence electron donor, technique enhance product synthesis process introduced detail. study outlines potential research directions acid These could serve as starting point investigating other uses
