ABSTRACT Effectively reclaiming Pb (II) adsorbents is crucial for tackling environmental pollution. Metal–organic framework (MOF) and covalent organic (COF) composites, with their multiple functional groups, are anticipated to show outstanding adsorption capabilities. Nevertheless, creating developing COF MOF composite highly efficient removal remains a challenge. In this study, we synthesized core–shell ZnGlu@Bth‐TFPOT‐COF (referred as M@C) adsorbent via Schiff base reaction. Adsorbent demonstrated remarkable properties, including excellent durability, specificity, straightforward solid–liquid separation. Under 298 K pH 6.0 conditions, M@C effectively adsorbed achieved 49.40 mg/g capacity within 15 min. Remarkably, it eliminated from solution containing ions, demonstrating an efficiency of 99.80% d (partition coefficient) 4.99 × 10 6 mL/g in the presence other ions. The process was controlled by Freundlich isotherm model, pseudo‐second‐order kinetic model validated that multilayer chemisorption mechanism removing (II).
