This paper aims to solve the problems of difficult breakage and low water yield wastewater-based drilling fluids. The effects agent dosage, reaction temperature, stirring speed, pumping time on fluids were analyzed through one-way experiments, these parameters optimized by Response Surface Methodology (RSM). A Radial Basis Function Neural Network (RBF) model was also introduced compare its performance with that RSM in predicting optimal process conditions. To further improve accuracy model, a combination Genetic Algorithm (GA) RBF used for optimization. results show both models can predict high accuracy, which coefficient determination is 0.9939, better than (0.9778). operating conditions are determined numerical optimization: amount glue breaker added 3.97 kg/m3, temperature 51 °C, speed 419 rpm, maximum 62.37%, best-predicted yield. GA-RBF coupled performed terms root mean square error (RMSE), (R2 = 0.998), absolute (MAE), t-test verified there no significant difference between predicted actual values. value waste mud could reach 61.97% when gum at 3.83 53 424 provided an accurate reliable theoretical basis technical support harmless treatment deep complex
