The process of gasification is well-known; however, to this day, the applications such facilities, especially off-grid small-scale units for direct electricity and char production, are scarce. In study, an fixed bed downdraft unit studied from gaseous/solid product character perspective. This represents a possible solution emerging call sustainable decentralised energy sources. Softwood chips were utilised in their conversion into synthetic gas (direct supply) solid biochar was observed analysed. results show promising values potential utilisation different outside combustion process, as microbial syngas fermentation, with lower heating value equal 6.31 MJ·m-3. It appears that during steam activation biochar, both high-quality off-gas more than 70%vol. H2 (excluding N2) activated carbon specific surface area 565.87 m2·g-1 can be collected. Further investigations have revealed degradation chemical bonds material morphology changes gasification. microporous structure high make it attractive further development adsorbent sorption cooling devices. Therefore, waste generated within minimised, obtained products will valued favour sustainability remote locations.

This study explores the effects of a subcritical seawater treatment (SST) on buckwheat waste (BW), and use hydrolysate as liquid fertilizer to improve growth lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.). Three temperature treatments (110 °C, 170 230 °C) were used for SST, ionic composition in achieved depolymerization degradation BW. The X-ray diffraction residual solids showed that structure BW was destroyed. Compared with seawater, contained higher amounts elements beneficial plant growth, such N, P, K, organic compounds phenolics sugars, result caused by SST. tested (treatments H110°C, H170°C, H230°C) irrigate lettuce. content proteins, phenolics, chlorophyll, well weight H110°C H170°C treatments, significantly than those H230°C irrigation (p < 0.05). from SST BW, being rich various inorganic nutrients, can act promotes lettuce, whereas temperatures might inhibit because excessive total nitrogen acid.
