Background The study’s primary goal is to ascertain whether there a relationship between the processed green tea methanolic extract’s (GTME) phytochemical components and its potential effectiveness against human liver cancer cells. GTME’s composition was identified using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, capacity lower cellular proliferation cause apoptosis in HepG2 cancerous cell lines checked. Results findings of chromatogram showed that GTME included bioactive antioxidants anticancer substances. Additionally, utilizing MTT, comet assay, acridine revealed selective cytotoxic impact with significant IC 50 value (27.3 µg/ml) on cells without any harmful effects WI-38 healthy Also, compared untreated cells, extract-treated had an upsurge proportion have undergone displayed nucleus, which sign DNA damage. In addition, treated stop G1 phase sub-G1 apoptotic (37.32%) flow cytometry analysis. Furthermore, reactive oxygen species were shown be responsible for apoptosis, tested extract significantly reduced their levels Lastly, changed protein expression linked cycle arrest apoptosis. Conclusion These provided information about processes through inhibited growth HepG2. Therefore, it has as effective natural therapy treatment cancer. However, validate these findings, animal models must used vivo studies.

Commiphora gileadensis is a medicinal plant with wide range of biological characteristics. Many medical diseases can be treated using the leaves C. gileadensis, including bacterial infections, inflammatory illnesses, and wounds. As result, Soxhlet extraction method was used to extract phenolic components measure recovery yields from leaf. The impacts parameters (extraction time 30–150 min, sample/solvent ratio 1:20–1:40 g/mL, concentration ethanol solvent 20–100% v/v) on total flavonoid content (TFC), (TPC), yield were investigated one-factor-at-a-time (OFAT) technique. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) gas chromatography–mass (GC–MS) analyses have been employed evaluate extracts for presence various phytochemicals. According results, leafs ethanolic extracted via process achieved maximum at 90 min time, feed/solvent 1:30 40% v/v concentration. These were: = 23.20 ± 0.10% w/w, TPC 59.93 1.33 mg GAE/g d.w., TFC 19.65 1.77 QE/g d.w.. Further, 20 excellent antioxidant characteristics found in leaf method.

Abstract Background: Mortality and incidence rates of cervical cancer are on the rise in Sub-Saharan Africa. Current management strategies not fully effective as they bring about major side effects issues such drug resistance. Indigenous plants have been used ethnomedicine to treat conditions related cancer. Aim: The present study was aimed at evaluating antioxidant anti-proliferation potential extracts derived from Portulaca oleracea Azanza garckeana plants. Methods: Phytochemicals were extracted all plant parts two with methanol, ethanol, chloroform, distilled water, isopropanol hexane. Qualitative phytochemical analysis conducted. total phenolic flavonoid content estimated, activity determined using DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl hydrazyl) ABTS (2,2′-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6- sulfonic acid) assays. antiproliferative HeLa cells analysed 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT). Results: P. A. stem leaf methanolic extract had high between 14.25 16.39 TE mg/100 g 41.70 52.03 QE g. Methanolic ethanolic displayed anti-proliferative towards affected cell viability a dose dependent fashion ranging 69 92% reduction 400 µg/ml concentration. IC50 values ranged 242.09 329.31 µg/mL 22.78 ± 10.37 for cisplatin. Conclusions: garckeana demonstrate activity, which indicate these anticancer development.

This work aimed at determining the growth patterns and condition factors of three sea cucumber species, namely Holothuria atra, Bohadschia marmomata, B. vitiensis in seagrass beds Mare Moti Islands. Samples were collected March 2023 using a roaming survey method block area with an 5000 m2. As amount 54 cucumbers analysed from Island 58 individuals Island. The results this study indicate that correlation (r) length-weight relationship for species is stronger (r > 0.6) on than H. atra marmorata have negative allometric pattern, while has positive pattern both islands. Fulton assessed recorded 2.84 ± 2.01, 3.13 2.47 9.24 5.73. Meanwhile, found 12.49 11.66, 9.58 7.38, 8.87 3.68. indicated all are good physical condition. relative weight factor (Wr) islands range above 100, which food surplus their habitat. research can be important as preliminary data terms sustainable management stocks North Maluku.
