In recent decades, substantial changes have occurred in the spatial structure and form of landscapes metropolises; these greatly impacted ecosystem provision capacities. Clarifying impact mechanism landscape patterns on services can provide insights into regional ecological conservation sustainable development measures. Although previous studies explored impacts at multiple scales, few been conducted using buffer gradient analysis approach. Using land-use/cover change data, this study measured evolution spatiotemporal features value (ESV) with 1, 2, 3 km buffer-zone scales Wuhan, China. Econometric models were then used to analyze different scales. The results demonstrated that rapid urbanization Wuhan has led significant patterns, pattern metrics exhibited heterogeneity. ESV a steady decline during period. Hydrological regulations waste treatment functions contributed largest proportion ESV, raw material production lowest proportion. Landscape exerted influence ESV; however, varied greatly. new understanding These findings are critical for facilitating planning development.
