Potential drivers of urban green space availability in Latin American cities

Abstract
Urban
green
spaces
play
a
critical
role
in
regulating
air
temperature,
reducing
pollution
and
enhancing
people’s
well
being.
Yet,
existing
data
research
on
potential
drivers
of
urban
space
availability
Latin
America
are
limited.
Here,
focusing
371
large
cities
11
countries
America,
we
described
the
total
per
capita
variability
space,
its
spatial
configuration
parks
across
categories
cities’
natural,
built
socioeconomic
environments.
We
tested
relative
importance
geographic
(climate)
versus
city-level
environment
(population,
population
density,
street
intersection
density)
(city
gross
domestic
product
capita,
unemployment,
education)
explaining
availability.

high
level
heterogeneity

Relative
to
other
city
factors,
climate
zone

largest
influence

Assessing and predicting green gentrification susceptibility using an integrated machine learning approach

Greenery

sustainable
and
climate-resilient
environments.

they
can
also
have
unintended
consequences,
displacement
gentrification
in
low-income
areas.
This
paper
proposes
an
integrated
machine
learning
(ML)
approach
that
combines
both
unsupervised
supervised
ML
algorithms.
First,
35
indicators
contribute
to

categories:
social,
economic,
demographic,
housing,
household,
amenities,
GIs.

data
was
collected
for
all
census
tracts

York
City.
Third,
the
susceptibility
modelled

levels
using
k-means
clustering
analysis,

Similarity

Teresina

deve-se

seu
valor
recreativo
convivência
os
habitantes
das
cidades.
O
processo
acelerado
ocupação
expansão
urbana
nas
últimas
décadas
do
Brasil,
reservou
poucos
locais
possam
representar
oportunidades
lazer
convívio
população
e,
principalmente,
preservação
recursos
naturais.
Diante
exposto,
este
estudo
tem
como
objetiva
analisar
cobertura
verde
em
Praças
Parques
Ambientais
Teresina-PI
através
índices
vegetal,
percentual
vegetal
Zonas
Administrativas
município
no
Estado
Piauí
índice
vegetação
diferença
normalizada.
A
vegete
per
capita
é
167,27
m²,
porém
quando
estratificado
praças
parques
varia
menos
um
metro
quadrado
até
nove,
depender
zona.
Logo
distribuição
verdes
não
possui
equidade,
assim
porcentagem
parques.
