Cultivated
land
is
an
important
material
carrier
providing
multiple
supplies
for
production,
living,
and
ecological
benefits.
As
area
of
cultivated
subject
to
high
levels
human
activity
during
urbanization,
the
functional
level
structure
suburban
have
been
strongly
impacted.
In
this
study,
we
took
in
Nanchang
City
as
research
constructed
a
multi-functional
indicator
system
context
ecology,
landscape
culture.
Using
improved
CRITIC-entropy
weight
method
optimal
parameter
geographical
detector
model,
examined
evolution
from
2012
2022
its
response
mechanisms
urbanization.
The
results
showed
that
(1)
multifunctionality
peri-urban
shows
general
decreasing
trend,
with
decline
gradually
increase
distance
central
urban
area.
(2)
contrast,
few
areas
away
city
small
medium
increase.
function
trend
2012–2022
due
urbanization
level.
However,
production
functions
increased
slightly,
whereas
cultural
decreased
significantly.
(3)

multifunctional
transformation

results
revealed
that

2000

security
maintained
high
level

rise,
spots
exhibited
stable
pattern

concentration”.

rising
number
of
disturbances
caused
by
natural
hazards,
epidemics,
and
international
conflicts
seriously
threatens
global
agriculture
food
systems.
In
order
to
combat
the
increasing
uncertainty,
Chinese
government
proposed
a
"dual
circulation"
strategy,
which
puts
forward
new
requirement
promoting
self-sufficiency.
Among
various
categories,
grain
serves
as
cornerstone
for
sustaining
human
life
during
public
crises.
Guangdong
Province
is
one
most
economically
developed
highly
densely
populated
regions
in
China;
therefore,
it
faces
significant
pressure
enhance
security.
This
study
investigates
spatial
temporal
patterns
rate
self-sufficiency
(RSSG)
at
county
levels
from
2014
2023.
findings
reveal
following:
(1)
rice
remains
predominant
crop,
with
its
sown
area
production
consistently
accounting
over
75%;
(2)
RSSG
28.14%
on
average,
lower
than
governmental
goal
30%;
(3)
has
regional
disparities
distinct
agglomeration
patterns;
(4)
scenario
simulations
indicate
that
yield
improvement
loss
reduction
have
potential
promote
34.14%.
Based
research
findings,
this
paper
proposes
following
policy
recommendations:
prioritize
farmland
preservation
implement
"storing
land"
strategy
ensure
supply;
adopt
advanced
agricultural
technologies
under
technology"
improve
yield;
reduce
strengthening
disaster
prevention,
improving
storage
management,
enhancing
efficiency;
strengthen
interdepartmental

Land
consolidation
is
a
crucial
strategy
for
optimizing
land
use
structure
and
ensuring
cultivated
security
food
safety.
Since
2019,
Zhejiang
Province
has
been
piloting
exploring
Whole-Region
Comprehensive
Consolidation
(WRCLC).
However,
there
remains
an
insufficient
understanding
of
the
feasibility
WRCLC
in
its
potential
synergy
with
other
policies.
This
study
utilizes
panel
data
from
707
townships
spanning
2013
to
2022.
By
categorizing
into
two
dimensions—quantity
quality—this
employs
double
machine
learning
approach
evaluate
impact
policies
on
township
security.
The
results
indicate
that
implementing
significantly
enhances
both
quantity
quality
land.
A
heterogeneity
analysis
reveals
particularly
effective
improving
non-major
grain-producing
areas
low
economic
development
areas.
Furthermore,
examining
policy
synergies
indicates
agricultural
mechanization
industry
integration
work
well
conjunction
WRCLC,
thereby
enhancing
rural
tourism
improves
without
effectively
increasing
quantity.
