Rural Revitalization (RR) is a key national strategy in China aimed at sustainable rural development and has gained significant attention. Given the unique characteristics of different villages, understanding differentiated paths to achieve RR essential. This study introduces new "5I Framework" (INDUS-INHAB-INDOC-INFRA-INCOM) assess RR's overall status (ODS) paths. Then, using western as case, this employs entropy weight, technique for order preference by similarity an ideal solution (TOPSIS), fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA), hierarchical clustering categorize into "4L Category" (Lots-Learning-Labor-Living). Context-specific recommendations are provided each category. "5I" "4L" derived from their initial letters easier recall global dissemination. Our findings reveal ODS's temporal fluctuations between Acceptable Good Grades (0.3 0.6), with Chongqing's villages showing downward trend (from 0.439 0.407); also spatial differences ODS, northern generally score higher due distinct characteristics. Seven identified, highlighting varying dimensions essential success: INFRA crucial across all high ODS paths, while INHAB INDOC not always central. Besides, these grouped four clusters via clustering, indicating that can be achieved integrating "lots" aspects, enhancing "learning" cultural among residents, requiring villagers' "labor" support agriculture, or improving "living" environment. The clustered categories enhance applicability our proposed countermeasures similar contexts. facilitates theoretical evaluation RR, underpinned promotes effective implementation practices—both representing innovations study.

Understanding how climate policies impact forest carbon sequestration is crucial for optimizing mitigation strategies. This study evaluated in China from 2020 to 2060 under three scenarios: SSP1-2.6 (high mitigation), SSP3-7.0 (limited and SSP5-8.5 (no mitigation). We integrated the land-use harmonization (LUH2) patch-generating simulation (PLUS) models project cover change, Lund–Potsdam–Jena managed land (LPJmL) model simulate dynamics. The results showed stronger efforts led higher sequestration, with annual rates of 0.49, 0.48, 0.20 Pg yr−1 across scenarios. achieved highest density (17.75 kg m−2) (56.95 Pg), driven by greatest increases existing forests (+41.56%) soil (+39.94%). Green finance is of vital significance for global rural sustainable development. This paper aims to explore the impact green on Based panel data obtained from 283 prefecture‐level cities in China over period 2004 2022, a development indicator system was constructed under DPSIR framework. By employing fixed‐effects model, moderation effect analysis, and spatial Durbin role its effects proposed. The results these analyses reveal following: (1) Rural exhibits cyclical expansion–contraction trend; (2) promotes sustainability, confirmed by robustness checks; (3) environmental regulations digital economy play positive moderating enhancing development; (4) terms effects, has within region but can exert negative spillover surrounding regions. findings, it proposed that layout should be strengthened, supervision enhanced, promoted. Such recommendations represent critical measures which serve as foundation stimulate provide valuable references relevant policy formulation.

As a zone lying adjacent to urban areas, construction land development in suburbs includes expansion caused by urbanization and rural increments development. Given the necessity of satisfying demands while protecting ecological environment, goals use efficiency, socio-economic coordination, benefit need be ensured simultaneously, which indicates that coordinative suburban is great significance, thereby raising for reasonable evaluation level from multiple dimensions. However, coordination considering spatial, socio-economic, factors insufficiently studied. To fill research gap, this study comprehensively evaluates at town level. Specifically, four indicators dimensions, including landscape pattern, accessibility, symbiosis, functional suitability, are selected. By utilizing coupling degree estimation, among selected evaluated. adopting case Wuhan, different levels regarding identified respondent suggestions promote under current China’s policies provided. This contributes understanding proposing method estimate coordination.

The large–scale Project of Returning Farmland to Forest (PRFF) is a major strategic measure taken against the background catastrophic floods in 1998, and its policy effect urgently requires an accurate evaluation. Yunnan Province ecologically fragile province that integrates border areas, mountainous ethnic groups, underdeveloped areas. It great significance study PRFF Yunnan, which began 2000, on promoting forest coverage rates (FCRs) In response shortcomings existing research, such as lack direct exploration limited evaluation tools improving FCRs regions, this takes example based land use/land cover (LULC) data interpreted from seven periods RS images, aiming FCRs. After dividing 129 counties into 3 types (flatland county, semi-mountainous semi-flatland (SMSF) county), Difference-In-Differences (DID) model spatial DID models are used specific county-level administrative units. results indicate has increased non-flatland by 1.8082%, impact increasing slightly exceeds SMSF counties. Although converted some steep slope farmland land, there no evidence suggest implementation significantly reduced proportion total grain production Therefore, excellent project promotes increase benefits country people. can provide reference for China achieve modernization harmonious coexistence between humans nature also offer other countries improve local ecology.

To address these disparities, the government launched decentralization policies three major phases, aiming to stimulate socio-economic growth at local level. This study examines impact of on urban–rural development using data between 2000 2020, a multiple linear regression model entirety Senegal. The findings reveal significant correlations rural population growth, access electricity, fertilizer availability, per capita cultivated land, all positively associated with agricultural productivity. Additionally, rapid urbanization (47.3%) weak land tenure (88.6%) adversely affect ecological systems contribute proliferation slums.
