Young chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) refers to people with COPD between the ages of 20 and 50 years. Current epidemiological studies focus on local geography, there is a lack global-level analysis. This study provides in-depth analyses burden young at global, regional, national levels. used Global Burden Disease Study 2021 (GBD). The age-standardised prevalence rate (ASPR), incidence (ASIR), death (ASDR), disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) were describe burden. estimated annual percentage change (EAPC) during period was calculated. BACKGROUND Early identification and monitoring of preserved ratio impaired spirometry (PRISm) population active intervention can reduce the incidence rate chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) delay process. However, there is no evidence on best treatments, effectiveness safety pharmacological interventions poor. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been used to treat COPD for many years. OBJECTIVE To clarify clinical efficacy Bufei granules establish a preventive treatment programme reducing with granules, so that provide high-quality evidence-based diagnosis treatment. METHODS This multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial targeting PRISm population. Volunteers will be randomly divided into two groups, experimental group receiving control placebo granules. The main outcome was COPD, secondary lung function, screening score, quality life, symptoms, 6-minute walking distance (6MWD), dyspnea scor, biochemical indicators economic evaluation. plan last 2 years followed up every 6 months. RESULTS Compared group, expected improve function life patients, dyspnea, increase exercise tolerance, progression, by approximately 40%. Data released upon completion study. CONCLUSIONS results this study valid in PRISm, resulting high-level TCM prevention slow progression morbidity. promoted use health management departments medical units at all levels expenditure burden disease. Background: Preserved ratio impaired spirometry (PRISm) is defined as forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV 1 )/forced vital capacity (FVC)≥ 0.70 and FEV < 80% predicted. Previous studies have shown that individuals with PRISm may develop airflow obstruction an increased mortality risk. However, long-term follow-up are lacking, this topic has not been evaluated the general population. We explored all-cause risk of a large sample Methods: used data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey III 2007– 2012. Participants aged 20– 79 years at baseline who underwent were included. Normal was prebronchodilator /FVC≥ ≥ Cox proportional hazards regression models to compare between groups. performed sensitivity analyses stratified by lower limit normal definition criteria. Subgroup sex, age, smoking status, race, body mass index, level education, poverty-to-income ratio, respiratory symptoms, comorbidities participants different classifications. Results: Overall, 24,691 included, median time 25.7 years. Of these, 19,969 had 1,452 PRISm. associated high (unadjusted hazard [HR]=2.47, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 2.25– 2.71, P< 0.001; adjusted HR=1.69, CI: 1.54– 1.86, 0.001) compared spirometry. Chronic inflammatory and immune dysregulation are critical drivers of the development progression chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Posttranslational modifications, such as glycosylation Immunoglobulin G (IgG), crucial in modulating systemic homeostasis. This study aims to profile plasma IgG glycopeptides (IgGPs) COPD patients uncover new insights into their pathogenesis identify novel biomarkers. An integrated platform that combines Fe3O4@PDA@DETA nanospheres enrichment with high-resolution mass spectrometry measurement was employed analyze N-glycopeptides from 90 patients, 45 clinically defined early (CECOPD) healthy individuals. To explore underlying mechanism progression, correlations between N-glycoforms clinical parameters were assessed. Disease-specific IgGPs identified both ECOPD cohorts. Notably, it glycopattern, rather than levels themselves, underwent changes progressed. In there a decrease bisection, accompanied by an increase site-specific afucosylated galactosylation fucosylation IgG, indicating anti-inflammatory state. Conversely, inflammation observed, which characterized reduced sialylation. Interestingly, subset controls displayed IgGP patterns similar those COPD, possibly reflecting impact smoking associated responses. We finally 6 2 pro-inflammatory ECOPD-specific indicators. Collectively, these findings suggest holds great potential biomarker for diagnosis, providing valuable system during progression. PRISm closely cardiovascular disease. Preventing and improving quality life in subjects important. We aimed to examined the relationship between American Heart Association's Life's Essential 8 (LE8) PRISm. This cross-sectional study utilized data 2,869 adults aged ≥ 20 years from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2007–2012. Multivariable logistic regression models were employed examine association LE8 score, health behavior factor each component Moreover, explored this correlation greater depth using restricted cubic spline curves subgroup analyses. Of participants, mean age was 44.09 ± 0.44 years, 316 (11.01%) defined having In fully adjusted models, higher scores reduced odds for (OR = 0.97; 95% CI, 0.96–0.98). A linear score observed. Similar patterns emerged subscores, particularly stronger factors analysis, inverse significantly more pronounced among those high income. lower likelihood developing Promoting optimal adherence metrics may improve offers meaningful approach its prevention management.
