The overproduction and consumption of plastics has led to a global challenge plastic pollution waste. Citizens in particular have an important role play as they interact with constantly their daily lives consumers, but different consumer profiles are hardly understood, resulting lack tailored effective engagement strategies. This study identifies analyzes sustainable based on behavioral psychological characteristics obtained through large-scale survey deployed among 7600 respondents eight European countries. responses were subjected regression modelling two-step cluster analysis. found personal responsibility self-proclaimed knowledge be critical variables affecting all stages behavior (i.e. purchasing, using disposing), well factor differentiating profiles. Consumers are looking for solutions to reduce waste at source, especially plastic from single-use packaging. Simply recycling packaging will not be enough and reduction the source must emphasized as part of a sustainable circular economy. Selling products in bulk using reusable containers is one emerging paths zero movement. To achieve this, it necessary change consumption patterns behaviors. Our goal better understand how can an asset objective. Using contingent valuation method, we conducted large pan-Canadian survey on purchasing preferences 2002 Canadian households analyze willingness pay (WTP) different food household products. Results indicate that most consumers do appear willing more with even if they interested buying Different socio-demographic attitudinal parameters, such age, gender, sense convenience, pro-environmental behaviors, influence buy pay. Abstract This paper examines empirically the importance of equity preferences for formation international environmental agreements (IEA) transboundary pollution control. Although it has been shown theoretically that existence among countries considering an IEA increases chances and stability a coalition, empirical assessments such have limited to climate change mitigation single‐country studies. Efficient Waste Management Systems (WMS) depend on citizens' willingness to sort waste and cooperate for its improved provision. Thus, it is essential understand what attributes individuals value the most drives WMS preference heterogeneity. In this paper, we investigate how evaluate (e.g., number of sorting categories, introduction textile sorting, frequency collection per week) local contexts, socioeconomics, environmental values shape their preferences. For purpose, conducted a discrete choice experiment sample representative Italian population interviewed through an online panel survey. We collected information individual's preferences attributes, awareness, socioeconomic characteristics. analyzed data using hybrid mixed models, which allowed us integrate awareness into pay estimations. found that are willing even if implies more effort part increased storage space. addition, extent support improvements strongly depends values, experiences (which shaped by context), factors. Our results suggest increase recycling rates citizen satisfaction, there need context-specific designs acknowledge observed heterogeneity
