Stocking density is a crucial factor affecting productivity in aquaculture, and high stocking stressor for aquatic animals. In this study, we aimed to investigate the effects of densities on oxidative stress energy metabolism gills Cherax quadricarinatus under rice-crayfish farming. The C. were reared at low (LD), medium (MD), (HD) 90 days. results showed that superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione (GSH), malondialdehyde (MDA) levels higher HD group than those LD group. Transcriptomic analysis revealed 1944 upregulated 1157 downregulated genes compared Gene ontology (GO) enrichment indicated these differentially expressed (DEGs) significantly associated with ATP metabolism. KEGG (Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes) also resulted dysregulation phosphorylation. Furthermore, six lipid metabolism-related pathways. Overall, our findings, despite limited number samples, suggested led rice–crayfish co-culture. Alteration may be an adaptive response adverse farming conditions.
