Abstract The quest for sustainable agricultural practices has led to a surge in research focused on innovative wastewater treatment methods. This review explores the emerging biological approaches designed address challenges of eco-friendly and subsequent reuse. investigation centers around three novel techniques: constructed wetlands, algae-based systems, microbial fuel cells. Constructed wetlands (CWs) mimic natural processes treat wastewater, providing habitat various plant species that collaboratively remove contaminants. Algae-based systems(ABs) harness photosynthetic prowess algae absorb nutrients pollutants, producing biomass can be repurposed. Meanwhile, cells (MFCs) employ microorganisms break down organic matter while generating electricity as valuable byproduct. aims provide insights into potential these methods revolutionize management agriculture. By mitigating environmental impact, conserving water resources, yielding reusable outputs, techniques will offer pathway towards addressing pressing enhancing overall ecological balance.

The study investigated the presence of freshwater pollutants and their effects on Oreochromis niloticus(nile tilapia) in Wawan Rafi Dambo Dams Kazaure, Jigawa State. water samples were found to be within World Health Organization's permissible guideline for temperature dissolved oxygen levels. mean value temperature, (DO), conductivity (EC) ranged between 23.13±0.8 28.25±0.7, 6.5-8.5mg/l, 7.347±0.3, 145.6±16 158.3±6.1. turbidity obtained from all stations was far higher than 5 NTU (Nephelometric unit) recommended by WHO, indicating that more turbid needed. Total solids content (TDS) levels above WHO's level, but TSS's values fell below limits 450-2000mg/L. Mean hemoglobin varied 6.230 g/dL 7.570 g/dL, with low likely due heavy metals altering hemoglobin's properties. niloticus had red blood cells (RBC) ranging 1.180x1012/mL 1.45x1012/mL, white (WBC) 153.100 x 109/mL 167.67 109/mL. corpuscular concentration unaffected volume number cells. data suggests has a unique cellular structure composition. Heavy can significantly impact life lifespan aquatic organisms, including fish invertebrates. average Lead (Pb) sample falls Organization (WHO) level 0.01mg/l stations. Chromium are WHO permitted chromium 0.05mg/L, which affect organs like gills liver. Zn lower 3 mg/L. analyzed both Dam highest Pb (mg/L) 0.1550±0.0, Cr 0.14205±0.0, 1.7750±0.0, Cu 0.5400±0.,Cd 0.07850±0.0, Ni 0.0475±0.0which limit except Pb, is slightly level. Various organo-pesticide also detected long-term exposure may lead bioaccumulation food chains, posing threat human health through dietary exposure. Recommendations include proper waste treatment, strict enactment government policies pesticide use, disposal, sanitation around sources. Further studies should focus oxidative stress enzymes area.

Bioremediation is a novel and, environmentally benign technology that employs biological microbes to reduce pollution. Waterborne contaminants are group of common materials can enter rivers through variety entrance points, such as wastewater, the surrounding environment, ship emissions, and other sources. The majority these dangerous compounds consumed by marine life, whereupon they bioaccumulate in their body tissues spread along food chain process known biomagnification. These practices may adversely affect physiological processes organisms, biochemical systems present organic environments, which have unintended negative effects concerning overall wellness humans, animals, alongside natural world. This review delves into various hazardous including broad chemical pollutants: heavy metals, pesticides, microplastics. Given harmful consequences toxins exert on environmental integrity, human health, financial stability, immediate remediation necessary. article provides comprehensive analysis bioremediation techniques used address contamination both soil water, emphasizing intricate relationships between populations microbes, variables, efficacy. Therefore, methodologies illustrated focusing employing procedure investigating technologies implemented. Furthermore, metagenomic approach's potential improve effectiveness was highlighted. Ultimately, it highlights necessity an answer presents overview strategies accessible. importance this deal with cause pollution (hazardous materials) solution (bioremediation). goal originality provide scientific community understanding resolution global concern. will become increasingly important coming century due warming, increased mass production, population growth.
