The ubiquitous occurrence of microplastics (MPs) in the environmental matrices including soil, water, air, animals, and humans has gained increased attention globally from researchers, public, industries, regulators recent decades. There is an enormous number studies conducted to determine presence, fate, behavior, toxicity MPs across countries world. However, gap between scientific evidence social awareness issue remains inadequately addressed. This paper aimed identify MP research while also emphasizing strategies bridge this gap.
