This study focused on microplastic pollution in the Bohai Sea, employing bibliometric analysis and meta-integration methods to systematically analyze its characteristics ecological risks. The results indicated that microplastics primarily originated from land-based inputs (62%) marine activities (23%). Microplastic concentrations Sea’s coastal areas were significantly higher than deep waters, abundance of aquaculture sediments was three five times non-aquaculture areas. Bioaccumulation demonstrated a significant trophic magnification effect, with top predators containing much plankton. combined toxicity pollutants severely impacted key species, leading 92% decrease Chinese shrimp populations reduction benthic biodiversity. To address this issue, “four-in-one” prevention control system proposed, encompassing source reduction, intelligent monitoring, targeted treatment, regional collaboration, measures including policy, technological innovation, restoration. aims provide scientific evidence for Sea security management offer reference globally semi-enclosed seas.
