Abstract The possibility of reusing ceramic roller waste to produce cordierite and mullite refractories was investigated. Five batches were designed using wastes representing waste, magnesite, silica sand, shaped fired at 1300 °C/2 h, one batch selected 1200 °C. chemical composition precipitated phases the used raw materials analyzed XRF XRD techniques, respectively. Densification parameters, morphology, microstructure electrical properties also studied evaluate effect formed on materials. Bulk density increases with an increase in a decrease cordierite, it increasing temperature, whereas porosity water absorption show opposite behavior (it decreases temperature). main developed after firing h mullite, corundum, baddeleyite, spinel. Bending strength percentage density, decreasing grain size porosity. develops becomes finer density. crystals very fine increased h. Broadband dielectric spectroscopy employed study investigated samples. concentration shows remarkable ε’, especially lower frequencies, as is three times higher than that M10. At f > 103 Hz frequency independence accompanied by concentrations due lag dynamics fluctuations alteration electric field. generation new free ions leads enhancement conductivity increases.
