Storage profit maximization is based on buying energy at the lowest prices and selling it highest prices. The best strategy must thus be both accurately predicting price peak hours rightly choosing when to buy sell stored energy. In this aim, prediction crucial, but model by means of usual metrics, as mean squared error, not an effective solution error computation equally weights all prices, while focus higher lower paper, we propose a new metric focused correct forecasting high low so allow for more choice among models. Results show that outperforms standard allowing accurate estimation possible storage (or other trading) activities.
