Dietitians are uniquely positioned to promote the Mediterranean Diet (MedDiet), a diet recognized for its health benefits and sustainability. This study aimed assess knowledge attitudes regarding MedDiet among dietitians in United Arab Emirates (UAE), examine frequency correlates of using this clinical practice. Practicing (n = 220) completed 44-item web-based questionnaire, verified face, content construct validity, as well internal parallel form reliability. Total scores were computed sum items attitudes. The mean score was 6.48 ± 1.85 out 10, with gaps related MedDiet's nutrient composition. Despite positive attitudes, many did not agree that it is easy encourage patients decrease red meat (68%) increase fruits/vegetables intake (70%). In practice, 35% rarely/never used MedDiet. more likely recommend if they had country origin (p 0.037), higher 0.022) attitude 0.013) scores, acquired information about through university education < 0.001) or conferences/seminars/workshops 0.002). This study utilizes bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) to examine the causal relationships between white matter hyperintensity (WMH) phenotypes-namely, WMH volume, fractional anisotropy (FA), and mean diffusivity (MD)-and cognitive abilities, including performance, intelligence, overall function. leverages genetic variation data from genome-wide association (GWAS) datasets employs a two-sample MR analysis. The analysis incorporates Egger, weighted median, mode, inverse variance (IVW) methods assess relationship abilities FA, MD. employed explore MD, outcomes. Most yielded nonsignificant p values (>0.05) wide confidence intervals. Heterogeneity tests indicated no significant heterogeneity or pleiotropy volume performance intelligence. However, was found function, FA with MD Reverse also revealed relationships. suggests that effects are minimal highlights as concern.
