In organic proton-transfer ferroelectrics (OPTFe), molecules are linked to form hydrogen-bonded networks, and proton transfer (PT) between is the dominant mechanism of ferroelectric switching. The fast-switching frequencies OPTFes make them attractive alternatives conventional ceramic ferroelectrics, which contain rare and/or toxic elements require high processing temperatures. this study, we mined Cambridge Structural Database (CSD) for potential OPTFes, uncovering most previously reported ones, both tautomeric compounds acid-base salts, in addition 12 new compounds, nine were salts. identification PT salts highlights a avenue engineering novel OPTFes.
