Phenolic molecules are secondary metabolites that facilitate several biological processes. Secondary non-nutritive substances hold significant medicinal value. Our study combined the activities, general features, daily usage conditions, and biosynthesis of luteolin as reported in literature. The literature review revealed exhibits activities including antioxidant, antibacterial, anticancer, anti-inflammatory properties. It was observed it exerts effects on illnesses cardioprotection, cholesterol regulation, neuroprotection, autistic spectrum disorders, gastrointestinal issues, obesity, insulin sensitivity, anxiety/depression, arthritis. In this regard, identified a molecule for pharmacological applications.
