This paper investigates the relationship between unsteady flow and radiated noise in near wake of a wind turbine tower due to blade interaction (BTI) Wind tunnel experiments. The two-dimensional hot-wire probe is used collect instantaneous velocity field BTI region, microphone sensor sound information. effects Reynolds stress turbulent kinetic energy on are further analyzed based field. results show that blade’s passing effect causes irregular distribution vortex migration mixing tower, resulting most significant difference shear at 0.71R position during transition from an azimuthal angle 180°–210°(upward). Furthermore, strong correlation identified peak acoustic pressure value measured rotational cycle when ran up 210° azimuth angle. It deduced aerodynamic rear attributed increase momentum exchange caused by fluid doping bursting, which driven stress. Momentum induces energy, pulsations, and, thus, noise. reduction pulsation subsequently lead generated tower. Therefore, viable approach reducing involves minimizing exchange.
