Abstract Separating solvent mixtures without phase change using polyamide membranes reduces energy consumption and enhances environmental sustainability. However, overemphasizing precise pore control while neglecting membrane–solvent interactions hinder membrane development separation efficiency. Here, it is demonstrated that rapid of solvents differing polarity can be achieved a featuring relatively large pores with polar surface formed via interfacial polymerization between polyethyleneimine (PEI) trimesoyl chloride (TMC). The abundant amine groups flexible chains PEI facilitate the formation network enables fast selective transport mixed varying polarity. exhibit several‐fold‐higher permeance maintaining comparable permselectivity compared to conventional fabricated from reaction m ‐phenylenediamine TMC. This work leverages achieve mixture differentiation may guide high‐performance polymer for efficient separation.

Hygroscopic composites based on hygroscopic salts and hydrogels are promising for atmospheric water harvesting (AWH), but their relatively low production possible salt leakage hinder real applications. Here, we report highly leakage-free from loading LiCl into emulsion-templated sodium alginate poly(vinyl alcohol) with macroporous structures interpenetrating polymer networks. The resulting exhibited an enhanced moisture uptake (up to 3.4 g g–1) behavior even at extremely high relative humidity (RH) of 90%. Moreover, the showed accelerated adsorption, adsorption (0.803 g–1 25 °C 90% RH within 1 h) desorption due emulsion-templated, interconnected macropores. obtained 1.12 per adsorption–desorption collection cycle reusability, without obvious deterioration in desorption, after 10 cycles. With presence carbon nanotubes, solar-driven AWH could be realized, requirement additional energy. excellent candidates efficient AWH.
