The pico scale crossflow turbine (CFT) is a prospect as an independent power plant for remote and rural areas because it has stable efficiency range of 64% to 79.5% in high discharge fluctuation. An alternative CFT performance enhancement determining the upper blade configuration increase lift force. Hence, this study investigates four configurations blade: convex at centre edge, trailing leading edge ordinary curvature. This research employs computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method visualise flow field. significantly affects its performance, higher than others. related each shape's specific speed parabolic expressed using empirical law. law recommends 4.88 designing CFT.
