Addressing the global problem of polluted water requires sustainable, efficient, and scalable remediation solutions, such as electrospun polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) membranes incorporating specific nanoadsorbents. The retention contaminants depends on membrane swelling, morphology, adsorbent within nanofiber. This study investigated effect relative humidity (RH) electrospinning chamber morphology resulting mats how this affected flow dynamics depending whether or not permeating liquid induced swelling in membranes. An insolubilized PVA was used a hydrophilic filter model filled with iron oxide nanoparticles (IONPs) composite (PVA + IONPs). presence IONPs increases nanofiber diameter, which decreases when prepared under intermediate RH (IRH). Consequently, configuration, is critical for filtration tortuosity, influenced by RH. initial results over 60% greater flux through compared to at an equivalent characterization helps optimize applications, highlighting that exhibit lower permeability values IRH, indicating improved contaminant capabilities.
