ABSTRACT The balance between long‐term stability, size and ion conductivity of anion exchange membranes (AEMs) under alkaline conditions is a key issue in their development. This article improves the stability membrane by selecting main chains functional groups with good using block crosslinking methods. A series different degrees, aPNB‐O‐DiPD‐x, were prepared pyridine group excellent alkali resistance as cationic 1,3‐di‐4‐pyridinylpropane (DiPD) agent. Compared to uncrosslinked membranes, crosslinked significantly increase tensile strength successfully suppress swelling phenomenon caused excessive water absorption. AFM SAXS tests show that has clear phase separation structure. aPNB‐O‐DiPD‐5 at 80°C 88.85 mS cm −1 , it still retains 85.8% after soaking 1 M sodium hydroxide solution for 840 h. In summary, presence network micro aPNB‐O‐DiPD‐x not only suppresses absorption but also membrane. At same time, which certain potential fuel cells.

Anion exchange membranes (AEMs) play a critical role in clean energy devices, and optimizing their performance requires deeper understanding of morphology-performance relationships. This study investigates ABC triblock terpolymer AEMs to explore how domain continuity influences hydroxide conductivity, water uptake, dimensional stability. High molecular weight terpolymers were synthesized through the controlled vinyl-addition polymerization norbornene monomers functionalized with alkyl, benzyl, or bromobutyl substituents. Morphology was systematically varied across series without significantly changing ion capacity (IEC) polymer by adjusting alkyl/benzyl block length ratio. Solution-cast films exhibited either 2D-continuous lamellar 3D-co-continuous network phase morphologies, largely retained after cationic functionalization. domains demonstrated superior performance, including enhanced stability competitive conductivities up 84 mS/cm at 25 °C 131 80 °C. work highlights self-assembly can be leveraged investigate relationships achieve highly conductive, durable AEMs.
