Cloud point extraction is a sample preparation technique that involves using surfactants are not harmful to the environment. It based on micelle formation in which extracted compound encapsulated hydrophobic core of micelles, extracting agent. The most commonly used nonionic. others anionic, cationic, or zwitterionic. effectiveness cloud might be enhanced by addition neutral salts, application proper pH, as well acidic conditions and temperature. This may applied extract analytes from following matrices, such biological environmental samples. combined with various analytical techniques detectors HPLC-UV, HPLC-MS, HPLC-FLD, inductively coupled plasma–optical emission spectrometry, gas chromatography, flame atomic absorption spectrometry.
