A facile and controllable one-step atmospheric pressure microplasma method was employed to synthesize nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dots (N-CQDs) with tunable optical properties. The N-CQDs were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, UV‒Vis absorption photoluminescence spectroscopy. HRTEM revealed uniformly distributed spherical nanoparticles a graphite-like structure. FTIR confirmed effective nitrogen doping, enhancing chemical stability. spectroscopy redshifted peaks, indicating improved electronic interactions reduced bandgap (4.05 eV) compared those of undoped CQDs (4.18 eV). PL analysis excitation-dependent emission significantly higher yield (PLQY) 33.09%. These results suggest that hold promise for applications in optoelectronics bioimaging, providing foundation further optimization future studies.

Glucose can form carbon material under hydrothermal conditions. Thus, carbon-layer-coated nickel sulfide nanoparticles were prepared using a one-step method with as the primary phase. The effect of glucose mass on structure and electrochemical properties was studied in detail. size decreased after surface coated by layer, forming uniform spherical particles 200–300 nm. layer thickness ∼3 nitrogen adsorption–desorption test revealed that specific area pristine 2.7 m2 g–1. Under optimal conditions, (NixSy-0.5) depicted 15.2 high provided additional electrochemically active sites. glucose-derived could be utilized conductive agent to enhance electron transport electrode. Electrochemical results capacitance NixSy-0.5 612.5 C g–1 at 1 A g–1, higher than (381.7 g–1). hybrid supercapacitor (HSC) assembled positive electrode commercial activated (AC) negative exhibited energy density 47 Wh kg–1. retention rate is (99%) 20 000 cycles. This study demonstrated simultaneous preparation sulfide–carbon composites feasible strategy for preparing economical efficient materials.
