We describe the ultrastructure of female reproductive organs Deronectes moestus (Dytiscidae Hydroporinae). The long spermathecal duct has a simple epithelium lined internally by thin cuticle and externally thick layer muscle cells. wide lumen contains electron-dense material, among which remnants extracellular material are visible. This consists tubular structures assembled around sperm bundles previously described in male deferent ducts. so-called gland, disposed along duct, is structure with epithelial cells an irregular bearing rich system microvilli. Many mitochondria visible apical cytoplasm cells, few spheroidal bodies close to basal nuclei. Since gland suggests it involved fluid uptake from rather than secretory activity, term coined other authors this organ, inappropriate. spermatheca large complex showing duct-forming organ distinctive ultrastructural features those ducts, namely having mitochondrial matrix small crystallized area dots. Because its overall organization, D. can be considered more integrated studied hydroporine species.
