Canavalia gladiata leaf extract (CGLE) is extracted from crop waste employing a water decoction method. By electrochemical techniques, morphology analysis, quantum chemical calculations, and other methods, we extensively investigated the anticorrosion efficacy of CGLE on copper within H2SO4 solution. The outcomes reveal that at 298 K, concentration 800 mg/L attains remarkable inhibition efficiency (IE) 96.8%. Additionally, examined impact corrosion resistance varying temperatures. Even with rising temperatures, manages to sustain an IE over 95%. This indicates mainly chemisorption based copper, leading strong adsorption. surface test results show noteworthy decrease in extent upon introduction CGLE. study adsorption model demonstrates alignment onto Langmuir

Corrosion protection of metal has become an important and urgent topic, which requires the development inexpensive, environmentally friendly, highly efficient corrosion inhibitor. Herein, a sweet potato leaf extract (SPL) was obtained by simple water-based extraction method then as green inhibitor for 6N01 Al alloy in seawater well investigated weight loss various electrochemical tests. Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) spectroscopies were carried out to investigate compositions SPL. The findings from potentiodynamic polarization (PDP) curves suggest that SPL functions typical mixed-type Notably, maximum inhibition efficiency reaches 94.6% following 36 h immersion period at 25 °C. adsorption behavior on surface belongs Langmuir isotherm. Gibbs free energy value illustrates contains both physisorption chemisorption. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) indicate is firmly attached making protective layer, can effectively inhibit seawater. Furthermore, quantum chemical calculations applied validate elucidate relationship between electronic structure active components their effectiveness inhibition.

The parsley extract (PLE) was prepared using absolute ethyl alcohol. PLE and synergistic iodide were firstly utilized as efficacious corrosion inhibitors to slow down the rate of carbon steel-Q235 in 0.5 mol/L H 2 SO 4 solution. anti-corrosion performance researched by weight loss method, electrochemical tests, surface analysis quantum chemistry calculation. Results tests show that synergetic I − exhibit optimal inhibition efficiency 99%. combined inhibitor displays favorable long-term effect, can maintain more than 90% after 144 h immersion. introduction makes steel with higher negative charge amount, which could be beneficial interaction between Fe atoms. adsorption behavior obeys Langmuir isotherm adsorption, involves chemical physical adsorption. On basis consequences theoretical calculation, process mechanisms are further explored.

Waste matter is an abundant source of recyclable materials. This study presented the corrosion inhibitor role unripe banana peel extract (UBPE) for carbon steel in acidic environments: 1.0 M HCl, 0.5 H2SO4, and HCl/0.25 H2SO4. The aim was to demonstrate robustness HCl-UBPE-steel system with respect competing ions solution, as such, generalizing its mechanism. localized general their theoretical midpoint were, respectively, subjected 95.91%, 83.33%, 91.50% inhibition efficiency when UBPE added at 3000 ppm. A protective film on surface found cause by electrochemical characterizations behavior explained via protonation rust formation undering varying acid conditions. Therefore, work suggests strongly conditions containing chloride sulfate ions.Highlights Unripe – water (UBPWE) acts eco-friendly effective aggressively environments.Carbon exhibits more HCl but H2SO4 condition.UBPWE performed 95.91, 83.33, mixed conditions. The performance assigned presence a layer surface.
