Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) are a group of eco-friendly, low-cost and tuneable that have gained significant attention in recent years due to their remarkable properties including high solubility conductivity, low toxicity easy recovery. DESs also demonstrated outstanding catalytic activity, especially as green alternative traditional catalysts several chemical reactions organic synthesis, biomass conversion pharmaceutical manufacturing, among others. In this review, we explore the potential co-solvents reaction media or diversity reactions, focusing on both homogeneous heterogeneous catalysis electrocatalysis during last quinquenium. The review article is organised three main sections: catalysis, electrocatalysis. each section, most research regarding versatile types synthesis presented discussed. Furthermore, offers insights into future perspectives catalysis.
