This study developed two ionic solvents using chlorides from the choline (ChCl) family: ammonium salts with 2-hydroxyethyl groups, dimethyl-di(2-hydroxyethyl)-ammonium chloride (1) and methyl-tri(2-hydroxyethyl)-ammonium (2) as hydrogen bond acceptor (HBA) glycerol (Gly) donor (HBD) in a molar ratio of 1:2. The solubility ammonia carbon dioxide these also glycelin (ChCl : Gly = 1:2) pure were measured at temperatures ranging 303.2 to 333.2 K pressures 100 813 kPa. From this, Henry's law constants changes thermodynamic functions during absorption process determined. We show that made 2-hydroxyethyl-grafted acceptors (HBAs) increases number groups compared comprising HBA one substituent only. Developed fluids demonstrated catalytic activity cycloaddition CO2 epichlorohydrin (ECH), producing chloropropylene carbonate (PC-Cl). Under reaction conditions °C, 650 kPa, 2 mol % catalyst concentration, 95% conversion ECH was achieved within 6 h. effect various on PC-Cl yield investigated. Additionally, densities (ρ) viscosities (η) both gas-saturated measured, completing comprehensive characterization solvents.

With the rapid development of science, technology, and economy human society, emission problem gas pollutants is becoming more serious, which brings great pressure to global ecological environment. At same time, natural resources that can be exploited utilized on Earth are also showing a trend exhaustion. As an innovative environmentally friendly material, functionalized ionic liquids (FILs) have shown application potential in capture, separation, resource utilization gaseous pollutants. In this paper, synthesis characterization methods FILs introduced, treatment recycling discussed. The future field anticipated, will provide new ideas for promote process environmental protection sustainable development.
