The demand for non-ferrous copper metals has increased dramatically with the development of global economy; accordingly, some refractory sulfide ores low grade and their associated minerals are beginning to be utilized, making flotation separation concentrates exceptionally difficult, especially chalcopyrite pyrite. In this paper, S-allyl-O, O′-dibutyl phosphorodithioate (ADTP) was synthesized by a one-pot method used as collector in Flotation experiments results have shown that ADTP exhibits better selectivity greater collecting power under neutral or weak base conditions. 95% recovery can achieved at pH 8.0 mg/L ADTP. From analysis contact angle, SEM-EDS spectrogram, elemental mapping, it found adsorbed uniformly on surface made significant contribution hydrophobicity surface. Confirmed FTIR XPS analysis, able form P–S–Cu bonds surface, proving chemisorption.
