Developing environmentally friendly and biodegradable corrosion inhibitors is an important research direction due to the toxicity non-degradability of conventional carbon steel added circulating cooling water environments. Polysaccharides in EPSs (Exopolysaccharides) can be used as green inhibitors, but a low inhibition rate limits their practical application. Chemical modification widely modify functionality polysaccharides by altering physicochemical properties structures, thereby enhancing or supplementing functional characteristics. In this study, we employed chloroacetic acid esterifying agent chemically Dextran successfully synthesized modified polysaccharide derivative with substitution degree 0.326. This efficiently inhibited The carboxymethylated dextran (CM-Dextran) formed after synthesis could adsorb onto metal surfaces form protective film, inhibiting surface dissolution reactions exhibiting anodic properties. experimental results showed that efficiency CM-Dextran increased up 57.4%, maximum 82.52% at concentration 4 mg/mL. study provides new insights opportunities for development derived from polysaccharides.

This study evaluated UV-radiated Helichrysum kraussii (H. kraussii) extract for its corrosion inhibition on aluminium in 1.0 M HCl. To achieve this, techniques such as Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Gravimetric analysis, electrochemical analysis looking at impedance (EIS) and potentiodynamic polarization (PDP), contact angle computational studies were used. The results obtained from these made it possible to conclude the performance of H. a inhibitor metal. LC-MS FTIR proved that exposure UV radiation caused change composition metabolites, demonstrated by increase number peaks chromatogram shift spectrum. Weight loss technique showed inhibited with maximum percentage 84.6948 % concentration 1500 ppm 30 °C. adsorption molecules metal surface was found obey Langmuir isotherm, activation energy values mechanism through physisorption. Nyquist plots semi-circles an concentration, showing efficiency. Tafel's plot both anodic cathodic inhibited. DFT/PBE/GGA/DNP investigation binding energies inhibitors suggest Al···FA interaction happens physical adsorption.

The present work is undertaken to investigate the corrosion resistance of ever silver in presence water, water+curd system, water+curd+rice water+curd+rice+Salt system. has been evaluated by AC impedance spectra . have employed electrode when it immersed various test solutions like curd, curd rice recipe, recipe with salt (sodium chloride 500 ppm). water+curd, and water+curd+rice+salt spectroscopy. If a protective film formed, charge transfer increases, value phase angle increases double layer capacitance (Cdl) decreases. When Ever water + system 500ppmsodium This due ion introduced into It implies that packed vessels made silver, we should avoid adding rice. better keep separately. be noted this than alone. decreases following order: Water Curd Rice > Salt 500ppm) Water+
