Preeclampsia is a pregnancy-specific syndrome, linked to oxidative stress, affecting 5-8% of pregnancies, with no effective treatment available. Here, diaryl-hydrazones have been designed, synthesized, and investigated as mitochondria-targeting antioxidants reduce placental stress mitigate preeclampsia symptoms. Abstract When the level of reactive oxygen species (ROS) increases abnormally in body, it damages tissue cells and is closely related to occurrence various chronic diseases. Antioxidant peptides (APs) are a class active short with antioxidant capacity, which have great research value.
