Abstract This research investigates the utilization of Hing gum-based hydrogel as an effective adsorbent for removal Malachite Green (MG) dye from aqueous solutions. The was synthesized using gum backbone, acrylamide monomer, ammonium persulfate (APS) initiator in free radical polymerization, and N, N'-Methylenebisacrylamide (MBA) a crosslinking agent. Optimization different reaction parameters carried out Response surface methodology. A full factorial model utilized to achieve maximum swelling percentage, key factors were identified through Pareto chart. optimized variables, including (2.19 ×10 − 2 mol L 1 ), monomer (8.65 × 10 solvent (13 mL), resulted percentage 760%. significance confirmed ANOVA statistics. Various properties analyzed Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, Field emission scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, Zeta Potential, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller theory. effectiveness prepared MG adsorption evaluated by measuring contact time, pH impact, dose, temperature. exhibited high efficiency removing solutions, achieving noteworthy rate approximately 97% over 6 hours at room Adsorption calculations described kinetics isotherm models. results indicate that pseudo-second-order kinetic Langmuir provided best fit absorption process MG. obtained highlight capacity demonstrate its potential eco-friendly cost-effective solution water.

Abstract Biodegradable (green) materials have been gained momentous attention and extensively used for environmental restoration as a result of recent legislations. The current study involved treating Pithecellobium dulce seed pod (PSD) powder with acetic acid to look examined the possibility using treated P. (PD) remove Reactive Red 195-A from its aqueous solution. material was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), differential thermal analysis (DTA), thermo gravimetric (TGA). Different constraining factors, such dye concentration, temperature, contact time, solution pH, sorbent dose were batch adsorption trials. Further, Freundlich Temkin, alongside Langmuir equations employed analyze different isotherms. results showed that Temkin isotherm found be validated experimental findings on RRD prepared adsorbent. exposed adsorbing process tailed pseudo-second order kinetic model, demonstrated correlation coefficient R 2 greater than 0.90. According thermodynamic investigations, endothermic took place spontaneously. suggested PD plant might cheaper substitute chemical adsorbents dyes.
