In this study, an AM-based continuous processing reactor system was designed, manufactured, and assembled on a laboratory scale for the generation of pharmaceutical substances with improved process control. The developed (additively manufactured) synthesis metronidazole derivatives aimed to optimize both physical chemical processes time savings. Using AM, we were able build subcomponents complex designs precise dimensions, which facilitated control reaction parameters reduced amount chemicals required compared macroscale reactors. assembly whole consisted main bodies, mixers, valves, heat exchangers, electrical motors, microcontroller system. revealed flow reagents ensured uniform mixing conditions, thereby increasing efficiency product quality. Five synthesized via two processes, involving reduction its subsequent reactions terephthalic aldehyde anthracen-9(10H)-one form Schiff bases. optimal conditions determined as follows: compound A (72% yield, 120 min, 55 °C), compounds B C (63% 68% respectively, 8 h, 65 D E (74% 85% 45 °C).
