This work presents the synthesis of a Co(II) MOF, IITG-7, with 5-(((1H-imidazole-2-yl)methyl)amino)isophthalic acid linker using solvothermal method. The activated MOF IITG-7a demonstrates excellent performance for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in an alkaline medium, requiring only 350 mV overpotential to achieve 10 mA/cm2 current density, along minimal Tafel slope 55.2 mV/dec and charge transfer resistance 3.5 Ω. Additionally, was successfully applied as catalyst direct styrene carbonate (SC) from CO2, achieving 100% conversion presence tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB) at ambient pressure. also shows nearly 90% selectivity SC reactions derivatives retains its catalytic efficiency up three cycles. These results highlight promising both OER CO2 conversion.

Abstract Four new coordination polymers based on 5‐(((1 H ‐imidazol‐2‐yl)methyl)amino) isophthalic acid (H 3 L ) and auxiliary ligands (1,10‐phenanthroline, 2,2′‐bipyridine, 4,4′‐bipyridine), namely, {[Zn(H )(phen)(H 2 O)] ⋅ 2H O} n ( CP 1 ), {[Ni(H O)]} )(2,2′‐bpy)(H {[Cd(H )(4,4′‐bpy) 0.5 4 were rationally assembled. Furthermore, these four CPs screened as heterogeneous catalysts for CO cycloaddition cyanosilylation reactions under mild conditions. The catalytic experiments showed that had the better performance, excellent substrate tolerance recyclability above two reactions. It is speculated activity of may be due to open Lewis base site acidic characteristics zinc (II) center. After five cycles, activities did not significantly decrease, structures remained unchanged. Therefore, was considered efficient stable
