Abstract Optical upconversion materials doped with lanthanides, such as Yb 3+ ‐Er , ‐Ho and ‐Tm coped systems, have been intensively studied over the past two decades because they can convert long‐wavelength low‐energy near‐infrared photons into short‐wavelength high‐energy visible UV light. Compared to these double‐doped Pr ‐doped inorganic are gradually gaining popularity expected become a new hotspot in field of research. However, comprehensive reviews this issue scarce. In minireview, basic characteristics transitions briefly introduced. Next, it concentrates on strategies that explored for regulating visible‐to‐UV efficiency. Subsequently, potential applications summarized. Finally, existing challenges development trends highlighted ‐based upconversion.

Mechanoluminescent materials have broad application prospects in advanced displays, stress imaging, and anti-counterfeiting owing to their ability convert mechanical stimuli into light. However, most previous studies focused on the visible near-infrared regions. Although natural ultraviolet C (UVC) light is nearly absent Earth's surface, it plays an important role many fields. Therefore, development of smart capable emitting UVC mechanoluminescence (ML) expanding scenarios ML are significant but challenging. Here property Sr

Abstract Inorganic metal halide perovskites have emerged as a prominent research focus in the field of visible‐region optoelectronic devices. However, exploring ultraviolet (UV)‐emitting inorganic with both high efficiency and excellent thermal stability is still large challenge. Herein, robust anti‐thermal quenching UV‐emitting material, Ce 3+ doped 0D Cs 2 ZnBr 4 reported, exhibiting doublet emission peaks at 342 367 nm photoluminescence quantum yield up to 97.0%. Specifically, doping imparts abnormal from 303 373 K thermally enhanced 1.8 fold luminescence. Thermoluminescence spectra density functional theory calculations demonstrate that behavior originated effective compensation activated defect levels 5d‐band. Furthermore, A bright UV light‐emitting diode based on :Ce fabricated, achieving an external 0.81% displaying exceptional long half‐lifetime 528 h. Thus, this work not only provides design strategy for phosphors but also paves new way cost‐effective, high‐power diodes.

Abstract Advanced functional materials that possess both persistent luminescence (PersL) and mechanoluminescence (ML) have gained considerable attention during the past few years owing to their potential applications in many fields such as two‐dimensional stress sensing, energy‐saving lighting, optical bioimaging. However, combined investigation of PersL ML is still its infancy. Here, property Er 3+ ‐doped NaYF 4 , mainly focusing on characteristic correlation, studied detail. It shown microscaled :Er has advantages against nanoscaled counterpart terms ML, consistent with photoluminescence results. By means pre‐charging trap‐emptying cycle thermoluminescence test, it confirmed come from same trapped charge carriers, belongs trap‐controlled ML. Furthermore, good repeatability proven, regulation realized. Finally, for dynamic anti‐counterfeiting dual‐mode detection X‐ray radiation dose demonstrated.
