The environmental and economic impact of an oil spill can be significant. Biotechnologies applied during a marine involve bioaugmentation with immobilised or encapsulated indigenous hydrocarbonoclastic species selected under laboratory conditions to improve degradation rates. factors that act as stressors the effectiveness hydrocarbon removal are one challenges associated these applications. Understanding how native microbes react stresses is necessary for effective bioaugmentation. Herein, Micrococcus luteus M. yunnanensis isolated from mooring system showed activity on Maya crude in short time by means total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) at 144 h: up 98.79% 97.77% removal. assessment biofilms different temperature (30°C 50°C), pH (5, 6, 7, 8, 9), salinity (30, 50, 60, 70, 80 g/L), concentration (1, 5, 15, 25, 35%) response depending strain. According surface analysis, main effect was > concentration. biofilm architecture characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) atomic force (AFM). Subtle but significant differences were observed: pili SEM topographical measured AFM Power Spectral Density (PSD) roughness higher than yunnanensis. In all three domains life, Universal Stress Protein (Usp) crucial stress adaptation. uspA gene expression analysed stressors. increased 2.5-fold 30°C, 1.3-fold 50°C. highest recorded 50°C 2.5 3-fold salinities g/L concentrations 35%. greater resilience when exposed harsh thicker biofilms. Both responses through consistent behaviours observed analyses. suitable biomarker assessing potential microorganisms bioremediation spills biosensing ecophysiological status microbiota environment.

The present study was aimed to investigate the Datura metel plant extract's anti-corrosion ability on mild steel against sulphuric acid. A comprehensive set of experiments using conventional methodology were employed for asserting efficacy and velocity corrosion inhibitory performance. It found that effectiveness inhibition 85.73%. results showed potentiodynamic polarisation causes regulated anodic responses. Both factors, linear resistance current improved by inhibitors. protective layer a vulnerable surface has been induced phenomenon known as 'blanket effect'. observed outcome may be attributed constraints imposed experimental methodology. composition analysed FTIR spectroscopy. Additionally, SEM analysis revealed neither smooth nor rough. In summary, extract derived from could potential green inhibitor act an agent.
