In the present era of rapid development in electronic information technology, electromagnetic (EM) pollution is increasingly receiving widespread concerns due to its potential threats devices and human health. EM wave absorbing materials (EWAMs) play an important role preventing exposure waves because they can attenuate incident through sustainable energy dissipation. Among numerous EWAMs developed recent years, three-dimensional (3D) macroporous carbon-based aerogels have been considered one most promising candidates as high-performance not only their flexible component options beneficial synergies between different components but also for open skeletons, which provide a unique structural contribution accelerating consumption waves. this review, we focus on current progress 3D toward absorption highlight strategies preparation, including biomass transformation, template method, hydrothermal/solvothermal self-assembly, polymer foaming, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) topological transformation. Moreover, discuss analyze effects composition, optimization engineering performances. After comprehensive evaluation performance aerogels, further propose some challenges perspectives envision broad application prospects future.
