A colorimetric sensor based on EDTA-modified gold nanoparticles (EDTA-AuNPs) has been developed for the sensitive and selective detection of creatinine using UV-vis spectrophotometer digital image method. The presence in EDTA-AuNPs results a decrease absorbance peak at 524 nm appearance an 700 spectrum. Creatinine induces aggregation EDTA-AuNPs, resulting color change from wine red to blue, which is easily observable with naked eye. Color changes colloids can be further methods red, green, blue colors detect creatinine. method demonstrated linear relationship between ratio A700/A524 range 0.0–5.0 mM, regression coefficient 0.9906 limit 0.125 mM. Meanwhile, demonstrates intensity (R) concentration, high 0.996 low 0.050 testing conducted artificial urine samples recovery rate 97.5% 101.7%, relative standard deviation (RSD) ranging 0.28% 0.74%. These indicate good measurement accuracy precision

Abstract Cathepsin S (CatS) is a lysosomal enzyme belonging to the papain family of cysteine proteases. Studies have demonstrated that CatS plays pivotal role in antigen presentation and associated with Alzheimer's disease, atherosclerosis, obesity, positioning it as potential target related disorders. Consequently, development selective straightforward method for detecting crucial. In this study, we introduce colorimetric approach utilizing gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) CatS‐specific peptides detection activity. The cleavage peptides, PMGAPC or PMGAPC‐NH 2 , can stabilize AuNPs hydrosaline solution without aggregation. Upon hydrolysis by CatS, aggregate color change from red blue. After optimizing size concentration limits were both be 10 nM, when used protect AuNPs. Therefore, assay, which employs AuNPs, enables not only but also simple visible naked eye.
