The rapid expansion of photovoltaic (PV) installations across Mediterranean Europe since 2007 has resulted in a substantial increase the need for end-of-life (EoL) management strategies monocrystalline PV modules. This paper reviews technical challenges and opportunities associated with recycling modules, focusing on physical, chemical, thermal processes currently employed. Despite advancements technology, significant gaps remain infrastructure regulatory enforcement, particularly countries. recovery valuable materials such as silicon, silver, glass presents both economic environmental benefits, although costs key barrier to widespread adoption. Our analysis suggests that optimizing these could improve their profitability scalability, enabling more effective resource recovery. concludes recommendations policy development support sustainable waste region.

The objective of this study was to determine the structural and textural description municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) bottom ash that subjected a six-month seasoning process. Bottom samples, with particle size fraction 0.063–0.1 mm, were seasoned in closed landfill collected for laboratory analyses at monthly intervals. research focused on determining parameters, using methods such as nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H NMR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis), low-pressure nitrogen adsorption (LPNA) −196.15 °C. porous structure samples revealed differences texture ASH 1 6, specifically pore volume (micro- mesopores), specific surface area, distribution. Changes characteristics attributed duration results analysis suggest its application concrete industry, potentially enhancing long-term mechanical strength concrete. indicate possible use MSWI environmental applications, internal area could be further developed.
