Background/Objectives: Brown algae, particularly Eisenia bicyclis, produce various bioactive chemicals with significant application potential in the food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries. This study aimed to evaluate antibacterial, antibiofilm, antivirulence properties of ethyl acetate fraction (EA) E. bicyclis its synthesized gold nanoparticles (EA-AuNPs), a focus on their applications against both Gram-positive Gram-negative bacteria. Methods: The component was identified using gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy (GC-MS) device liquid spectrometer/mass spectrometry (LC-MS) system. crystal violet method utilized biofilm inhibition experiments. Several instruments, including dynamic light scattering, Fourier transform infrared, X-ray diffraction, field emission transmission electron microscopy, energy-dispersive spectroscopy, were employed completely characterize produced EA-AuNPs. cytotoxicity EA-AuNPs determined MTT assay, expression genes linked virulence Pseudomonas aeruginosa Staphylococcus aureus investigated real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Results: Various compounds from EA GC-MS LC-MS, fatty acids phlorotannins such as eckol, dieckol, 6,6’-bieckol, phlorofucofuroeckol high amounts, highlighting phlorotannin-rich fraction. also demonstrated antibiofilm activity, 79.86% at 512 μg/mL P. 87.00% 64 S. aureus. then used synthesis (AuNPs) improve stability safety. have an average size 165.04 nm, zeta −29.86 mV, indicating good stability. In activity assays, 45.76% 1024 44.64% 128 μg/mL. At sub-MIC levels, significantly inhibited formation factors, motility staphyloxanthin RT-PCR analysis revealed downregulation key involved Conclusions: These findings highlight solvent-soluble extracts effective agents, food To best our knowledge, this is first report bacteria
