Glial cell senescence, characterized by the irreversible arrest of division and a pro-inflammatory secretory phenotype, has emerged as critical player in pathogenesis Alzheimer's disease (ad). While much attention been devoted to role neurons ad, growing evidence suggests that glial cells, including astrocytes, microglia, oligodendrocytes, contribute significantly progression through senescence. In this review, we explore molecular mechanisms underlying senescence focusing on cellular signaling pathways, DNA damage response accumulation senescence-associated phenotypes (SASP). We also examine how senescent cells exacerbate neuroinflammation, disrupt synaptic function, promote neuronal death ad. Moreover, discuss emerging therapeutic strategies aimed at targeting mitigate neurodegenerative processes By providing comprehensive overview current research disease, review highlights its potential novel target fight against

Brain oxygen metabolism indicates the rate of energy consumption and is a potential marker pathological changes. Positron emission tomography (PET) gold standard for measuring metabolic rates using radioactive tracers. However, its application in preclinical studies, particularly with rodent animals, constrained by need arterial input function measurements on-site cyclotron facilities tracer preparation. As an alternative, non-invasive, non-contrast MRI techniques, such as T2-relaxation-under-spin-tagging (TRUST) phase-contrast (PC) MRI, can be used evaluating brain vivo. This study outlines step-by-step method implementing TRUST PC mice at 11.7T scanner. The proposed yields quantitative global approximately 20 min, paving way broader applications future pathophysiological studies.•Non-invasive assessment mice.•Quantitative measurement min.

Human periodontal ligament stem cells (hPDLSCs) are candidate seed for tissue regeneration. Enhancing the stemness maintenance and osteogenic differentiation potential of hPDLSCs is conducive to their role in The combination dasatinib quercetin, a type senolytic, has been reported affect cell senescence. However, whether it can regulate hPDLSCs, related mechanisms, remain unknown. present study analyzed optimal concentrations quercetin found that enhanced promoted expression stemness-related markers hPDLSCs. levels TAZ YAP were improved when incubated with quercetin. osteogenesis-promoting effects plus partly attenuated was knocked down, on suppressed inhibited. Taken together, promotes YAP/TAZ may be involved this process. This hold promise improving function
