Less than 5% of the DNA sequence encodes for proteins, and remainder non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs). Among members ncRNA family, microRNAs (miRNAs) long (lncRNAs) play a pivotal role in insurgence progression several cancers, including leukemia. Thought to have different molecular mechanisms, both miRNAs lncRNAs act as epigenetic factors modulating gene expression influencing hematopoietic differentiation, proliferation immune system function. Here, we discuss most recent findings on main mechanisms by which are involved pathogenesis pediatric T acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL), pointing out their potential utility therapeutic targets biomarkers early diagnosis, risk stratification prognosis. T-ALL, acting tumor suppressors oncomiRs. By contrast, best our knowledge, literature highlights only oncogenes this type cancer inhibiting apoptosis promoting cell cycle drug resistance. Additionally, here, how these molecules could be detected plasma T-ALL patients, highlighting that may represent new class promising accurate sensitive young patients. Thus, unveiling aberrant signature circulating intracellular levels great clinical obtaining more definition prognosis uncovering novel strategies against children.
