Abstract Among youth in residential care (RYC) there is a high load of experienced adversities and prevalence mental disorders. Less known about the stability change disorders whether individual or contextual factors that are protective adult could be identified. The current study 10-year follow-up young adults with history RYC Norway. At baseline (T1), 76% met criteria disorder. (T2), diagnostic psychiatric interviews were conducted by phone doctors psychologists. A response rate 52% was achieved (n = 157). Criteria for at least one present disorder fulfilled 77.6%. most prevalent single PTSD (42.1%), agoraphobia (33.3%), social phobia (27.9%), major depressive episode (23.1%), specific (21.1%), ADHD (19.2%). Most participants had more than those diagnosis T1, completing school only factor found to associated no T2 (p 0.019), whereas statistically significant association sex, age first placement received aftercare. We very comorbidity comparable baseline. This shows psychopathology from adolescence into adulthood. Ensuring access quality health services living important.
